fall fun times!

last weekend, we had a fantastic time with gramma & grampa at the yearly trip to Sky Top Orchard.  & this year, we rented a mountain house for the weekend.  add to that, we spent a day in greenville & got to play with our friends.

i’m a little low on words right now, but i’ll share some pictures:

there’s a goat on your head.

here’s the view from our veranda at the house.  we all enjoyed a slice of pumpkin bread while we looked out at this:

aaahhhhh

i also utilized this gorgeous scenery each morning as i bundled up and drank my coffee.  the mornings were very fall-esque.  saturday afternoon was a little atypical.  but still quite nice as we drove around the blueridge parkway and did some sightseeing:

looking glass falls

we all hiked 1.4 miles to see a waterfall.  this time, it was much better than when The Mr. & i did it last.

certainly better than a trickle!

funny story about that hike to Moore Cove falls.  you see The Mr. & jovie were so much up ahead of me.  a family walked past us, making their way back down.  without even missing a beat, as soon as the man saw me, he said, “hey- there’s a little girl on this trail who looks a lot like you!”  i mean! wow.

it was such a great way to spend the weekend.  and now we’re gearing up to go back to greenville for the thanksgiving holidays!  we hope you’ll enjoy yours as well!
