Santa did give her one of the things she asked for;  a “grocery store”:

he also brought her roller skates, a Cinderella doll, a lite brite (remember those??) &  imaginets.

after all was said and done....

she got a ton of nice gifts, and we did have some nice time with family!  (minus the sick part).  (once everyone left, she didn’t mind being sick and the PJ’s days and videos we got to watch)

we'll pretend this is how excited she is about the skates.

we’re all back to normal and looking forward to our regularly scheduled schedule on monday.  but it was a very nice holiday season, even though The Mr. & i returned some of our gifts to each other.  [funny how we both got each other XM for the home; but neither one was the right kind]

The Mr. spent his vacation running and taking care of us.  plus some reading and relaxing.  (he ran over 70 miles in his 10 days off!)  and i spent his vacation cooking, baking, game playing, relaxing & napping.

t’was good indeed!

Fun pictures! We LOVE Mo Willems, too. Little Elvis was obsessed with City Dog, Country Frog for the longest time. And we always check out the new pigeon books when they get them at the library. Although the naked mole rat, and the one about the monster are my favorites.
